We come in, look at how you test, and tell you what to change. You keep your team. You keep your tools if they are worth keeping. What you get from us is a second opinion from people who test for a living and have no reason to flatter you.
What QA consulting actually means here
Consulting is advice, not delivery. We do not take over your testing on this engagement. If you want someone to run the testing function, that is managed testing services, and it is a different contract.
A consulting engagement usually covers some mix of:
- A QA process audit. How work moves from ticket to release, where defects get caught, and where they escape.
- Test coverage analysis. What your suite actually proves, as opposed to what it claims in the coverage report.
- Automation strategy. What is worth automating, what is not, and why your current suite is slow or flaky.
- Tooling review. Whether the tools you pay for are earning their licence cost.
- Release and environment process. Why the same class of bug keeps reaching production.
- Hiring and structure. What shape of QA team your product needs, if any.
We write it up as findings you can act on, each one naming the thing we saw and what to do about it. Not a maturity score out of five.
Who this is for
Teams with 10 to 200 engineers who already ship software and already test it. You are the right buyer if any of these sound familiar.
Your automated suite is red often enough that people ignore it. Your QA team is the bottleneck before every release and nobody can say why. You are about to hire three testers and are not certain you should. You are heading into an audit, a funding round, or a medical or financial certification and need to know what will not survive scrutiny.
You are the wrong buyer if you have no testing at all. There is nothing to audit yet, and you will get more from QA outsourcing or a first hire.
What you get
A named consultant, not a rotating bench. Typically one senior engineer plus a second reviewer on the findings, because one person reading your system will miss things.
The deliverable is a written report and a working session to argue about it. The report names what we found, how we found it, and what it costs you to leave alone. We rank the fixes by what they save against what they take to do, so you can stop after the first three if the budget runs out.
Each engagement is scoped to your release, usually a few weeks. We would rather give you something short and specific than a retainer that turns into a monthly status call.
What it costs
$25 to $45 an hour, depending on seniority, how long the engagement runs, and how much of the work is deep technical review rather than process. Consulting sits at the upper end of that range because it is senior people reading unfamiliar systems, which is the slow kind of work.
We will give you a fixed scope and a fixed number of hours before you commit. If the audit turns up something that changes the scope, we tell you before spending the hours, not after.
Why take our word for it
We are an independent QA company. We are not the team that built your product, so we have no delivery contract to protect by calling it fine.
- Four ISO certificates. ISO 9001:2015 (quality management), ISO/IEC 27001:2022 (information security), ISO 14001:2015 (environmental), and ISO 13485:2016 for medical devices. ISO 13485 is the medical device quality standard, and we hold it alongside 9001, 14001 and 27001.

What we will tell you that a sales call will not
Sometimes the answer is that your QA is fine and your problem is requirements. Sometimes it is that you need two engineers, not the eight you were planning. Sometimes it is that the suite should be deleted rather than fixed.
Any of those answers costs us the larger contract, and being willing to give them is the only reason the advice is worth anything. If the honest finding is that you need less than you came to buy, that is the finding you get.
