Tudor Brad was the first QA engineer on a healthcare platform in Florida when the iPhone was new, helping a team replace hospital pagers with iOS, Android and BlackBerry apps. In five years he grew that QA team to twelve people. In 2018 he and Ana Brad founded BetterQA in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, and grew it to 50+ engineers.
The idea has not changed: the team that writes the code should not be the one that signs it off. Developers testing their own work are students grading their own exams.
What changed is how fast code gets written. With vibe coding, teams ship features in hours, and the bugs arrive just as fast. We disliked the testing tools on the market, so we built our own: BugBoard for test management, Flows for test automation that repairs itself, Auditi for accessibility, BetterFlow for transparent timesheets, and the AI Security Toolkit for security testing. They run as agentic pipelines, and an engineer reviews everything they find, because automated tools can be confidently wrong.
