How we started
Tudor Brad was the first QA engineer on a healthcare platform in Florida when the iPhone was new, helping a team replace hospital pagers with iOS, Android and BlackBerry apps. In five years he grew that QA team to twelve people. In 2018 he and Ana Brad founded BetterQA in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, and grew it to 50+ engineers.
The idea has not changed: the team that writes the code should not be the one that signs it off. Developers testing their own work are students grading their own exams.
Tudor holds the ISTQB Certified Tester (Foundation Level, 2011), an engineering degree from the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca (2012) and a certified trainer qualification (2016). In 2026 he completed the DNSC-authorised Cybersecurity Auditor programme.
A chef shouldn't certify his own dish. Developers shouldn't validate their own code.

- 2018
Founded in Cluj-Napoca by Tudor and Ana Brad. First client engagement. Team of five engineers.
- 2019
First enterprise client. Structured QA training across the team. Joined AHK (German-Romanian Chamber of Commerce). Expanded to 12 engineers.
- 2020
20+ engineers. ISO 9001 certified. Member of BRCC (British-Romanian Chamber of Commerce). Started building internal tools for project transparency.
- 2021
Launched BetterFlow publicly. ISO 27001 certified. Joined RACC-IT (Romanian-American Chamber of Commerce IT Committee). Expanded security testing practice.
- 2022
35+ engineers. Clutch Top QA Company award. Joined MHTBA (Montana High Tech Business Alliance). Started development on BugBoard and Auditi.
- 2023
Launched BugBoard and Auditi. NATO NCIA vendor registration, NCAGE code 1JGAL. Expanded to security testing and WCAG auditing. 40+ engineers.
- 2024
Launched Flows self-healing automation. ISO 13485 certified (medical device testing). Joined BERROC (Belgian-Romanian Chamber of Commerce).
- 2025
AI-accelerated testing workflows. Built NIS2 Manager, our own compliance platform. Five proprietary QA tools in production. Avetta Consortium member.
- 2026
Four MCP servers - BugBoard, Security Toolkit, Scanner and Flows - so AI agents can run our tools. 170+ client projects since 2018.
